Every quarter, Nasty Folks choose one charity or organization that we feel use some extra help during Trump’s presidency.
Q1 2017 – THE NATIONAL IMMIGRATION LAW CENTER
Are you tired of conservatives coming after your rights? So are we. Austin-based #nastywoman Shannon Burnette designed these tanks inspired by the “Come and Take It” flag from the Texas Revolution. We’re selling them in an effort to raise money for the National Immigration Law Center, who has been defending and advancing the rights of low-income immigrants since 1979.
75% of the proceeds from shirt sales will be donated to the NILC. If last week is any indication, the Trump administration is going to be very hard on immigration, and we need to support those who are helping the next wave of New Americans. The NILC “engages in lawsuits that defend the fundamental and constitutional rights of all Americans, including low-income immigrants and their families.”
Our goal is to sell 50 shirts, which would allow us to donate $500.00 to the NILC. This campaign ends officially on February 14, so please spread the word!
